Leather Work

We repair all types of Leather goods, guncases (we also reline them in Baize if needed) Concertina and other instrument cases and vintage suit cases. We also re-leather desk and writing slope tops.

Re-covering Victorian Desk Leather

The old covering was stripped off and the area beneath prepared.
Leather skiver was then cut to shape and laid in.
Border decoration was then stamped on the edge of the skiver.

Restoration of Wheatstone Concertina Box

The leather was re-dyed and polished. The strap was replaced,
the existing brasswork polished and new brass corners put on.

Restoration of Gun Case

The leatherwork was redyed and polished.
Where the wear on corners was excessive, corner covers were made and put on.
New straps and handles were made and the brass work polished.
